This nice little truck was brought to me by a local Macco body shop owner I am good friends with. He drove the truck from Independence to my location in Olathe. He explain to me that the truck would not go past 3rd gear. I excepted it was the normal 3,4 clutch failure that most 4l60e I work on experinces. But when I tore the transmission down.I could tell that it just had been rebuilt and that the truck should had been working.

I put everything back together and the truck was still not operating properly.

Symptoms;

No 2nd and 4th gear

Issues;

The previous rebuilder install the wrong 2-4 servo pin. Causing the 2-4 band not to apply

Solution;

Install the correct 2-4 servo pin so the band can apply.
