98 Jeep Grand Cherokee (46re)

The owner of this Jeep love it. It had the big 5.9 liter hemi engine, so it had some power. But the engine had over 300,000 miles, I asked the owner of the Jeep why did he want to get the transmission fixed. He said I love my jeep, I explain what it would take to get her running again after it was sitting for a year.

Symptom;

The Jeep was stuck in limp-mode (safe mode) which means it was stuck in one gear (3rd gear). So when you start off it felt like there was no power and the gears would not shift.

Issue;

The clutches were worn (from diving it in limp mode to long) what cause the limp mode was because one of the solenoids where not getting power.

Solution;

rebuild the transmission, change the tcm control relay, and the tcm fuse.
