Car would not move in any gear range

Problem:

one of common issues with these transmission are the bushing in the pump likes to walk it self out of the pump housing. Which would cause transmission fluid to leak.

Since the customer operated the car as the transmission was leaking. The k3 clutch was damage. The k3 clutch is applied in drive and reverse. The car would not move because the k3 clutch was damage.

The Fix:

Sometimes you have to replace the entire pump housing because the old pump has become oversized (new bushing will not fit). But in this case a new bushing with some lock tight took care of the pump issue.

rebuild the entire transmission and a new k3 drum. Also you should do ahead and replace the old conductor plate with a new one. The conductor are know to go bad on these units and will cause it to go into limp mode
